There once was a champion of the Philistines, a giant, who went by the name of Goliath (1 Samuel 17). He boasted about his strength and his people while mocking God and the Israelites. The Israelites were sore afraid of him and ran away in fear.

Young David on his way to feed the sheep was diverted from his task and sent to carry food to his brothers who were in the army of the Israelites. As he went to deliver the food to them he heard Goliath boasting and asked about what would be done to the man who killed this pestering man who had been causing problems for the Israelites and defying the army of the living God? David wanted to step up and shut this giant down! His brother turned him away, saying he was prideful and naughty, that he had left his sheep and only wanted to come along to watch the battle. Boy, was he wrong. He did not know David's heart.

David stepped up despite being turned away. They armoured him up, this teenage boy. He took off the armour and picked up his staff and a bag of rocks instead. He met the giant, Goliath. Goliath was still running his mouth, even cursing the God of Israel. David said to the giant,

"Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied."...(1 Samuel 17:23, 45)

David went on to tell him how he would kill him and take his head and give it to the Philistines to let them know who the God of Is real is. After speaking Goliath God angry and charged at David. David charged back and slung a rock right in the center of Goliath's forehead knocking him dead on his face!!!!

I said that to say this. It does not matter how young or small you are. It does not matter what your family or anyone else thinks of you either. If you are confident in God and have the ambition,  you can kill all the giants in your life.  There are giants trying to knock down what God is doing in your life, trying to kill your purpose. Go full charge at anything that is in your way and knock it flat on it's face!

Where are all the David's of this generation? Know that you are able to take down what the strongest men run from. You are champions!!!!!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
